Fred & Earline Estes Diversity Scholarship
The Fred & Earline Estes Diversity Scholarship at the University of Minnesota provides recognition and support for minority students attending the College of Education & Human Development at the University of Minnesota. Please donate here!
Fred L. Estes Memorial Golf Classic fundraiser
The annual Fred L. Estes Memorial Golf Classic raises funds for the Estes Diversity Scholarship and the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC) annual college tour. The golf classic takes place each July and is open to everyone of all skill levels. Create your own foursome or elect to be assigned to a foursome. Available spaces fill up quickly.
FMBC college tour
The FMBC college tour takes a small group of high school students from the Twin Cities area to visit colleges around the United States. There are also college prep workshops. Participants must raise part of the required funding themselves through group and individual fundraising activities.
CEHD Advisory Board
As a member of the University of Minnesota College of Education & Human Development (CEHD) Dean’s Advisory Board, Estes Enterprises, Inc. provides advocacy, engagement, and fundraising support to the university. We participate in biannual meetings to advise the Dean on important issues, and we act as a community liaison.
MEDA MBE Advisory Board
As a member of the Metropolitan Economic Development Association (MEDA) MBE Advisory Board, we have joined in their efforts to assist businesses owned and managed by minority and women entrepreneurs.
Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce
We’re a member of the Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce (MBCC), which assists minority-owned businesses through loans, networking resources, workshops, and mentoring.
Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce
As part of the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, we work with other members to deliver economic opportunity, advocacy, and marketing for chamber members.
MPLS Regional Chamber
Estes Enterprises is also a member of the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce (MPLS Reginal Chamber) where we work with other members to deliver economic opportunity, advocacy, and marketing for chamber members.
Monitors Club
We’re also proud to work with the Monitors Club, which supports community organizations in their efforts to improve the educational, political, economic, and social well-being of the Twin Cities’ minority community. It also provides mentorship for young people and aspiring entrepreneurs.
